Flower Crown

DIY

Do you want to connect with your Lana Del Rey spirit animal? If so, then you’ll need a flower crown to reach her. I was channeling my inner free-spirited, band-groupie and wore one to Carisa’s baby shower. It was a pretty big hit, so I made another for little Sadie baby. I’ll add a photo of that precious little diva in her crown once Mommy sends me one. Here are the DIY steps!

Supplies

  • Scissors
  • Suede Cord (Michael’s)
  • Hot Glue
  • Fake flowers

Step One: Measure the circumference of your head with a cord of suede. Add four inches to that (to tie) and cut. Measure another cord, double the length of the first. Make a loop in the middle of the second cord, making the free ends equal length. Add the first cord and knot all three together, making a large loop.

Step Two: Braid the three cords together to make a band for your flowers. Tip: Have a friend hold the loop! Make a knot at the end of the braid, leaving about two inches of cord to tie through the loop when wearing.

Step Three: Cut the flowers away from their stems. You can add some of the leaves to your crown as well! Lay the flowers and leaves out on your braided band until you like the way it looks, then glue them all down!
